Unapologetically Noob question about AR M2 and MIDI

I’ve read the manual. Roast me if you like or redirect me to the proper thread, but I personally cannot find how to trigger sequences on non-elektron devices using the Analog Rytm. I want to use the Roland MC101 as a slave to my AR and I want to trigger sequences when different Patterns arrive on a song built with the AR. Roland forums state that I can send a PC message using the appropriate midi channel for any of the 4 tracks available on the MC101, but how can I do that on the AR? Pulling my hair out here. Again, I invite the roast from y’all, but please in the process enlighten me if its possible and how to do it. Thanks. AR M2 forever.

Analog Rytm Program Change

I doubt that a “random” patch is being selected. The AR sends Program Change (PC) messages that correspond to the pattern that is being selected: changing to pattern A01 will send PC 0 changing to pattern A02 will send PC 1 … changing to pattern H16 will send PC 127. Which synth are you using? You could store patches on your synth according to which one is needed for each pattern. If this is not sufficient, you would need some intermediate device to re-map the Program Change messages.
