Hey,
I am new to the OT.
I get errors every time I try and load samples onto the CF card.
Error -36
I have read / write permission.
I have tried a second card and still no luck.
I am using a Mac OS 10.10.1
Suggestions?
Thanks
Have you done repair permissions?
Double check them: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH18894

I have no issues with Yosemite and Octatrack.
Yes, I have read write access on all files on the card.
I have tried to repair the permissions same issue.
I also get this issue when its not the -36 error
Thanks.
have you tried reformating the card?
-36 could either be corrupt data or dodgy media…if the issue is still persistent report back
I’ve reformatted both cards multiple times.
Did you repair permissions on the card or the Mac harddrive?
Using yosemite here with no issues. Yosemite solve a lot of Mavericks problems for me so no complaints here.
Well that seemed to work. Will report back shortly.
Good times.

I had the same problems… usb-connection never runned. A lot of mac errors and OT freezes… ://
My workaround: I bought a card reader = everything is fine now…
still didn’t work.
the card reader was the answer.
somewhat annoying but now we can actually proceed.
thanks for the help / suggestions.

Just checking - I got this error 36 when I didn’t have usb disk mode enabled on the OT. Have you enabled USB disk mode? Since then I purchased AudioFinder which is an awesome tool to manage samples and load them to the OT…
Same problem here with Yosemite 10.10.1. Error -36

This might sound trivial but please try in this specific order:
- Power up computer.
- Plug USB cable into computer
- Plug USB cable into Octatrack
- Power up Octatrack
- Start USB Disk mode on Octatrack.
If the above fails, connecting it to a mixer can help with the grounding if you suspect grounding issues.
