UC33e in 2024 / Mapping the dinosaur

How to NRPN:

To program NRPN you need to assign the knob / slider to CC134, then setup MSB value (double push the button) then LSB value (double push the button). You need also set up proper midi channel for this knob / slider.
Eg. for NRPN message 1:9 (delay feedback which is also on channel 16) you need to:

  1. move / slide the controlller
  2. push assign button - enter the 134 value
  3. double push msb button - enter 1
  4. double push lsb button - enter 8
  5. push midi channel buton - enter 16

Hi, everyone

Over the last few days, I’ve been playing around with the controller a lot and have created some mini guides for reference on mapping and other related things.

I’ll leave the GitHub repo here in case you find it useful.

For now, I’ve created mappings for the Machinedrum and microKORG, but I plan to add more.

If you have any feedback, corrections, tips, or things that would be cool to implement, let me know

You said it was old and faulty. What was the fault? I have a UC-33e that fairly constantly sends out random CC changes on whatever knob was touched last. I’m guessing maybe filter cap issues in the power supply?

Hey,
Well contact cleaner and pressured air as well as a thourough wipe worked for mine!
