Two MnMs anyone?

I was wondering if anyone uses 2 Monomachines together, and if so, how they are best leveraged in combination.
Any thoughts?

Did this for a couple years. The second one was most useful as an FX machine. The number of gain stages in the MnM offers amazing possibilities.

Please feel free to elaborate if the spirit moves you.

He has two, worth checking out his channel, nice music  .

This sound was created entirely through gain staging in the Mono.

That’s some seriously nice noise there, Allerian! How did you make it?

sweeeeet track !!! please let us in on your production secrets … cheers

I use two - leveraged in lots of ways.

  • 1 Unit as percussion synthesizer the other for melodic parts.

  • 1 As a poly 6 voice synth the other as standard MnM.

  • Routing and processing sounds through either unit at the same time.

  • Same as above but creating feedback loops between the two

  • Using slower BPM’s on one and 2x speed on the other for double and half time sequencing tricks.

  • Using one for processing other audio sources only whilst using the other for separate duties.

  • Having both use variable step lengths for polyrhythms

  • Using different sing settings on both machines or have one working in triplet time when the other isn’t.

  • I often use one unit processed through my Analog 4 or feed one into the other and then process via the analog four.

  • Exploit the number of outputs that two machines give you for routing an processing in your DAW via a multi input sound card

  • Using the Digi-Pro engine in both with totally different waveforms loaded on the pattern data can yield some interesting results when recorded and volume vector envelopes in your DAW get used to create wave sequences of the two playing in unison.

Etc…

Hi Venn Hi everybody,
I have a Monomachine that almost made me give up the computer
I’m selling everything more or less…, and i’m nearly ready for another MNM, reading Venn, I was thinking about a triangle with an Octatrack instead of A4.
Tips and advice on Audio and Midi routing and are highly appreciated
thanks

ach.

An extra one + decent sound interface would do the job for me - I’d be able to master and finalise my current project… Pretty much got used to this workflow - just need more tracks.
