I think another overlooked feature is among the engines is the open source Mutable Instruments braids (i think) sound engines which brings physical modelling to the table!…i might be wrong but im pretty sure i heard Alex in one of the superbooth videos say that was included?

This being said, the SB videos seem to describe an early version of the FlexFM. I’m wondering if all the mentioned features will really be included in the final product - although I hope so.
I don’t think I came across Braids mentioned, but the filters in the FlexFM, like in the TwiftFM, are based on Emilie Gillet’s 4 pole mission filter design: 4 pole-mission filter board - Mutable Instruments prehistoric projects

It’s the make or break for this device for me. If it has some engines that I can play polyphonically and isn’t just 8 monophonic voices then this thing will be a centre piece for me. XY axes controller, pressure sensitive touch pad for tapping in drum rythyms, drum sound design, sampling, looping and polyphonic synthesis? It’s a no brainer.

I have been watching the videos and what i understand from the GUI panel .
Parameters for voice :
volume / pan
punch / crush (i dont know what it is)
decay / chord
tune / reverb
cutoff / delay
resonance / voicing
I dont know if decay is the only env parameter with maybe punch / crush ?
Is there an ENV for the filter ?
For the operators :
volume / feedback
attack / start of the sample
decay / end of the sample
multiple / fall (i dont know what it is)
shape a / b : probably to adjust the engine (timbre and color on braids) ?
fine / glide
And we also have f / m under the shape knobs : maybe for “frequency” and “modulation amount”
So it seems to have a selection of braids waveforms + some custom one where i think you can adjust the timbre and color , mod amount , fine and coarse frequency and glide + you have volume, the feedback fm and attack and decay env.
You can use the 4 op as 4 ocs with different waveshape and there is a chord functions that use the 4 op to create chords.
You can also enable disable operator per step.
You have 4 lfos per track that you can assign to knobs so i guess the mod destination are what you find on the knobs (check the labels). For ex i guess its going to be possible to modulate start and end of sample.
Limited env i guess but you could use one of the 4 lfos for env duty.
Edit : You can see on one of the video the parameter decay amount for cutoff and resonance so maybe the filter share the master decay env ?
Also the MI Braids osc has an AD env that can be map to several parameters on the hardware so I guess it’s the same thing here (AD knobs on the right)
That’s just speculation on my part of course hehe since I know nothing but I’m very intrigued.
