Yes … reduce the AMP VOL while recording the track into its own buffer.
The Octatrack does have some quirks when doing this. I had a long thread figuring out how to set up the volumes, effects, and (annoyingly!) BPM to make sure you get clickless loops that don’t blow up unexpectedly.
