This is going to sound a bit vague because I was a bit confused when it happened but… last night I made a cool pattern.
I turned on my ST this morning and it was gone, and what was weird was that when I went through the patterns/banks, I think some (only a few) of the patterns were ones that were not there previously - like it had loaded a different “fork” of my project. The patterns sounded like stuff I would have made so it hasn’t been cooking without me lol, but I’ve not really used it for a long time so can’t remember what I made that long ago.
In my confusion, I just reloaded the project without saving the one which was open, and so the evidence is gone (along with my cool pattern because it didn’t save to the project). I only have this one project plus a couple of nearly empty test ones, so I don’t think it had loaded a different project but more like a different version of my working project.
Anyone had anything like this happen? I’m not too worried about the patterns, it’s just weird.
This happened to me a long time ago. My patterns were there but they were either old versions or some trigs had been messed up. It hasn’t happened again and I never logged a support ticket, I just rolled with it. In retrospect I should have logged a ticket.
This happened to me several months ago. My Patterns were still there but I had to load the Project manually (with the menu) to have the last saved state. I sent the ST for repair. They told me it was a capacitor (related to the memory, I think) issue.
Ah cool. Thanks! I guess I’ll ping support and see what they say, mine will be out of warranty now though so hopefully it was a one off.
The patterns was a banger though so I’m a bit sad… and some of the patterns that temporarily emerged before I reloaded sounded good, I should have saved before reload such is life
Can I ask if you ever use a powerbank to power the syntakt? I have a similar issue( it doesn’t auto save when turned off) and I’m blaming my powerbank for frying something internal in the syntakt). If you now make a new pattern and turn off is it still there when you turn it back on?
It was complicated because the package came back twice to my house. I don’t know why, it was at the beginning of Trump’s tariffs. So, Elektron US found a place in Canada (where I live) to repair it and it was fast (1 or 2 weeks).
