I’m trying to get the timing to freeze between two different settings on the freeze time. An example would be, let’s say, 1.00 and 2.00. I’d like it to be random, which one of these two settings are chosen. The solution for similar things in the past with other Elektron devices would be that I set the value half way between (1.50), set a square wave lfo at a rate that’s not a common division of the beat, set the rate multiplier very high (like 2k) and use the hold mode. Then set the range to be half the difference of the time values, in this case 0.50. when a trig triggers the lfo it’d semi-randomly set a value of 1.50+/-0.5, giving me the desired result of 1.00 or 2.00.
This doesn’t seem to be working for me on the tonverk. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with translating between the lfo output value not being a 1to1 translation to the timing value in the effect, or if I’m doing something wrong.
Anyone here for ideas how to solve this?
