Troubles changing pattern via MIDI (working with USB)

Hey,
I’m using Live for changing pattern (program change) on an AR mk2 and a Digitone.
When i send the program change via USB port it works perfectly.
But it makes a strange result when i send the program change via MIDI using the MIDI output of my audio interface (Native Instrument Komplete 6):
the Elektron device receives the program change but always switch to pattern A1 despite the program value i send.
It does exactly the same on AR and Digitone.
Does anyone has an idea about what’s going on ? thank you !

I always had trouble with program changes when I used my A4 mk1 with an MPC 1000 - ended up sending pattern changes using the multi map (iirc via the performance channel?). Does program change work for pattern change seamlessly via usb?!

do you mean the multi map from ableton ? i’m not familiar with this
