Trouble sending sysex via usb to c6 : Solved

i’m trying to send sysex pattern dump to c6
put c6 in receiving mode and sending it from a4 in global mode sysex send
no data is received by c6
a4 says complete but no info is received by c6
is there some special setting ?

Midi out port set to usb or usb+din
Usb mode set to usb midi would be better than OB
Maybe ensure device is on and set and cabled before starting C6

for me the big difference was switching off usb overbridge mode, and back to usb-midi only mode.

With usb OB mode enabled c6 didn’t seem to receive anything

Midi “OUTPUT TO” was set for an obscure reason to MIDI only
Switch it to MIDI+USB and now sysex dump work

I know this is old, but I recently ran into the same issue of C6 not receiving Sysex dump from A4. It was unclear to me, reading the replies, that I needed to make the change under the “Midi Config” menu. I assumed since I was using USB to connect to the computer, that the Midi ports were not being used, therefore no need to change any settings pertaining to the midi ports. Wrong. I had USB set up in Midi only mode (Instead of OB), but that wasn’t enough!
Global -> Midi Config-> Port Config -> Output To = USB instead of MIDI.

Hopefully this helps someone who understands things the way I do.
