If I press trig 16, although it works fine as a trig, my A4 keeps moving to the LFO screen. Trig 14 jumps to the amp menu.

Is this meant to happen or could it be a result of spilling some tea on that side of the unit earlier?

Yes the tea. . Did it have sugar? You can open it and clean it off if you are annoyed by the weird behavior. The warranty does not cover tea spills unfoetunately

No sugar fortunately but took it apart and there’s quite a bit of liquid in there. It’s on the radiator for the moment :-/

Let your instrument dry totally before using again . Whenever u Spill liquid on electronic Equipment - pull the the plug immediatly and let everything dry - it’s good to carefully open for drying if possible. I had the same problem with a mixer - opend it and let it dry for a day and a night.
I think liquids can make false contacts as they can transmit current. Be patient , it’s better to let it dry long enough. There was no sugar in the tea, that’s good…
If the problem stays after drying I would contact eleKtron for advice
I’ts easyer said than done but try not to worry or think the worst - worrying dousn’t solve a problem it’s only bad for your health

QFT
is incredibly tempting to turn on and check if its okay when spilled something on an electrical device, but is the very worst thing you can do. Goes for anything, phone, ipod whatever. Not helpful to OP now, but for anyone reading this take heed.
@OP - hope it dries okay and works for you mate

OK 24 hours on the radiator and touch wood, all seems OK. No menu switching with trig keys any more. Thankfully it was sugar and milk free Rooibos.

I thought I’d mopped all the tea up before it soaked in but clearly not. Lost a Macbook Pro to a beer a few years ago in a similar way. Pulled it apart and washed it all with distilled water and left it for a week but it was too late. Recovered the full HDD though which was something.

Thanks all.

Glad to hear

I dont have drinks in my studio anymore, since once I sipped a coffee, choked and sprayed it over my midi keyboard - costly mistake to make! Also banned rolling anything smokable in there too - opened up said keyboard and was shocked at the accumulation of tobacco and crud in there (tbf had been used at a lot of parties though).
