Triggered Sampling question

not bothering anymore.

Don’t know if you could do that because it has to process the sample. What if you trigger it to sample 32 beats and then trigger it to start on beat 33? Not sure the OS/hardware can process that quickly. I would, however, think you could tell it to sample for a specific number of beats and put it in the project sample list? That would be pretty sweet.

It sounds like what you want is a live looper?

Currently the DT cannot do this and I don’t see it being part of its functionality in the future, I think the OT is capable of this sort of workflow though.

Octatrack can do much more !
You can sequence the 8 recorders independently from sample tracks, play and process the recordings in real time, each rec trig can record different sources (4 audio inputs, Main, Cue, Tracks).
Pickups for overdub and live looping.
What else ? :content:

I hope there will be some possibilities for that in the DT.

Maybe with some additional future MIDI support on the DT + some interesting MIDI loops between the DT and the OT. With conditional trigs you could build a stochastic musical state machine from which a a cacophonous self-awareness may emerge.
