Is it possible to record/playback a particualr sample via TRIG MODE: CHROMATIC. Then on the same track record a different sample using the CHROMATIC TRIG MODE again?
Am I correct in saying each TRACK relies on a principle sample per track (when assigned), even though we can then enter additional samples per TRACK. But we cannot have multiple samples being triggered on the same event on one track. (We’d simply enagage a new track to do that).
thanks
yes i think you can only chromatic play the assigned sample.
would the OT automatically sample lock in chromatic mode? say i used chromatic mode to record something in one pattern, switched patterns and loaded a new sound to the track to record in chromatic mode again?
or maybe you could just go back and manually sample lock each trig once you were done but that’s a huge annoyance tbh -___-
I’ve learnt the chromatic mode will place recorded trig info on a particular track, if you change the assigned sampled for that track, the new assigned sample will have the chromatic recorded event ‘trigs’ still in place… until you clear the sequence or track.
Its a bit of a workaround… but
- Select sample you like to play first…
- record your chromatic stuff…
Now parameter lock all triggers to the sample you just used.
- select new sample
- record other chromatic stuff…
Now parameter lock all new triggers to their correct sample
rinse and repeat if you want more samples in it.
