Can the Rytm n A4’s trig conditions change a note’s pitch conditionally?
So like you could have a single trig change pitch each time it loops according to what condition you set.
I understand most of the trig conditions stuff, just wondering if im missing this. It would be very handy for extending melodies.
I gather it can’t do it tho.
you could basically have two notes in adjacent sequencer steps be within a microtime step or two (1/384th ish) of each other, have the first be the scripted conditional element and have the next be the opposite (Pre-Bar)
So only one will sound and they’ll seem like they happen at the same time (but won’t, and it’ll cost you a seq step)
a fast change using a follow on lock step is another good suggestion, but some params can’t be changed after launch iirc
Have you considered routing a a Track LFO in square mode to the pitch, setting it to HOLD and set it to a time that doesn’t sync up with the beat? Then the Mod AMT should give you control over a second pitch that triggers 50% of the times. You could use another LFO (can the RYTM give the Fade LFO another mod destination?) to modulate the Mod amount of LFO 1 for a third note (in square mode) or tonal mayhem (in a mode like triangle).
With the caveat that this is 100% hypothetical, I myself have a MD instead of the RYTM .
