Trick to launch a trig only once, but not on the first iteration of the pattern

Hello there !

Does someone knows a trick to launch a sample only once ?

When I want to do this on the firts iteration of the pattern, I use the trig condition FIRST, but here I really need to launch it on the third iteration of the pattern, but never again after …

Maybe it’s not possible, but trig conditions are so powerfull that I was wondering if I wasn’t missing some interesting tweaks to be able to do what I want.

Thanks for any ideas.

PS: Maybe it’s a feature request for trig conditions : SECOND, THIRD, FOURTH, FIFTH, SIXTH, SEVENTH, EIGHTH.

Either use the fill condition and press the fill button whenever you want to launch the sample or use one of the x:y conditions and mute the track after the sample got trigged.

i’d vote for it!
but with the new scale per track feature you could slow down the track to 1/4x or 1/8x and use the 1st condition

Try this,

  1. put the sample (vol=0 and trig=first) on 1:4
  2. put the sample (vol=100 and trig=PRE) on 3:4

It should work if you have a 4:4 pattern.

Yes ! So many ideas

I like garf’s solution with the scale per track feature. Because this track is only there for this sample, this is perfect.

Thanks !
