So a way I like to work is to take a sound/sample/loop in ableton and then throw that through a load of FX, tweaking knobs like crazy. I then dig through the resulting mire, looking for loops and sounds that I can use to build a track around. Like many on this forum I don’t feel particularly inspired turning the laptop on, so I was wondering what hardware could be adapted to this kind of workflow? All suggestions are welcome.

Any hw sampler/groovebox with plenty of internal FX for sound design, plus resampling and sequencing capabilities.
