As a follow on to this i think this does not make sense either
Take a clear kit, select Track 16, note page, deselect synth trig
then assign a sample, other than cowbell, set levels etc
Now in step mode assign trigs to 1 5 9 13
Plays the sample, as the synth is decoupled, okay
Now select track 15, in step mode assign a trig to 13 (or any 1 of above)
the voice will now play the synth part of Track 16 ! ! !
it’s not just that 16 takes priority, it’s normal, but for the engine to be changed is very unexpected, i’d say a bug, thoughts ? Has this been discussed before ?
I experienced something similar before. didn’t take the time to analyse it further and reproduce the bug, but I think it was pretty much the same behavior that you outlined
i should clarify, it applies to any voice pair, i accept that the high priority voice takes the fore, but not that the voice architecture should be changed, this could be disastrous and just wrong in certain circumstances !
I had this last night. Track 12 sample and track 11 sample. I chose track 11 and laid down about 5 trigs on a 4/1. There were no trigs from track 12 laid down, but I kept getting track 12 triggered randomly.
