Track light blinking and "playback will be stopped" messages when already stopped

Didn’t know how to title this because they’re both odd problems and I don’t know if they are related.

I should start by saying that my Octatrack has occasionally been crashing to dim orange lights over the past two weeks. This happened before and I had to send it back to Elektron for repair so I’m wondering if I might have to send it in again. It hasn’t crashed for a few days, but I’m getting these other issues.

The first: when I go into the project menu to change to a different project, it will say “playback will be stopped” when nothing is playing.

Second: I see rhythmic blinking (but out of time with the metronome) on tracks when nothing is playing and when the tracks themselves are empty. Also — I forget if it’s normal for the metronome to be blinking in time when nothing is playing. I think it is.

At first, I thought i was getting some kind of midi interference but I turned off everything in the midi settings (I think) that could be interfering.

Are these issues and the crashing related? Or is there something else that could be causing the above problems?

Thanks.

Iirc “playback will be stopped” is displayed if you have had it playing and have not hit stop two times. I may be wrong but I know I see it sometimes when nothing is playing. I don’t know what is up with the flashing trig lights but the tempo should always be flashing.

Could they be cued?

11.6.2 CUE OUTPUT ROUTING Pressing [CUE] + [TRACK] will route the selected track to the cue outputs. A cued track will still be audible from the main outputs. When a track is cued the [TRACK] key will flash.

Right, tracks are probably cued. I totally misread the bit about the flashing lights.
