Just got my TR-8S - and using it with the Digitakt, to allow for more flexibility of the track usage on the DT. One thing, I am struggling with so far, is the setting of imported samples that I am loading onto the TR8s. It may be me, but I can’t see anywhere that I can set the sample to loop when it is triggered in the TR8s. So, using a single cycle as a sample and looping it may not be doable. Perhaps if someone else is familiar with Roland sample handling, can chime in it would be helpful. Just experimenting at this point.
I don’t have one but from watching vids I think you have to assign your sample to a track and then create a loop by using the sequencer as far as I can see.
You can’t set user samples to “loop”, in the single cycle waveform way that you desire.
Some of the onboard samples do loop, as indicated by the L icon, but unfortunately loop is not a parameter you can apply to a user sample.
I think you can only import one shot samples
There’s no looping on the TR-8S
So the TR is probably compatible with standard wav loop points… Just set them in your favorite sample editor ![]()
perhaps? Hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Let’s hope so.
