happy to be schooled if i’m wrong on any this but always loved how Ae have used the 606. the sophie remix is dope. but the lines the always blurred for me between post prod, raw programming, modded unit with separate outs and parameter control(probs a mix of all 3?!?)
when i first heard this track i loved it, then for a while found it the most boring on draft, then recently loved it again. they’ve always said Draft 7.30 went back to hand making beats without too much computer, but not sure how they did this one, really fast tempo track mode programming, some extra RSD-10 stuff? regardless it, sounds so nice. edit : not even a 606, a CR-8000

@Ess recorded an album using an MC-202 and a 606. I think it’s pretty great. I wish I’d bought the vinyl…

Not a track, but something interesting with 606 only.
In 1986 a hungarian director Péter Tímár made a movie called Sound Eroticism which he also scored himself with using only a TR-606. Note this is socialism at its end days.

while I do love that track (and album) I don’t hear 606 hats in there. I think Confield and Draft 7.30 were when they were heavily into using their Nords for most/all sounds. and Untilted (just after Draft 7.30) was mostly Elektron machines. after that, I have no idea; mostly Max/MSP and Supercollider or something.
but if you go back a ways, there’s some pretty clear Autechre 606 action (edit: or the example above, haha)

Here’s a track my band did some years back with 8 mins of 606 drums. Plenty of other Rolands from the same era as well (Juno, Jupiter, JX)

Speaking of, here’s a classic 606 workout
And … A few years ago I was making a lot of music, mostly live stuff, with two 606’s and a bunch of pedals. (Also a modified DR-110 which I used for triggering its clap. I built in a little arduino for that, haha)
