Tonverk: technical Q&A

Was playing around with an arp last night and noticed trig length maxes out at 128? There’s no trig LEN=INF? Can anyone confirm this?

Anyone figure this out yet? Input levels over USB from my MacBook are so hot, I have to set levels ridiculously low.

How are people balancing volumes between patterns for livesets? Is it a matter of using the output knob on a master compressor?

Weird, I’ve been experiencing the opposit problem

Yes. Don’t know why, nor workarounds…

What are your audio routing settings ?
Mix track SRC settings ?

I’ve googled and cmd+F the manual but can’t find anything. Can I copy a sample from one subtract to another? I tried holding the subtrack with the sample + Copy, and then the new subtrack + Paste, but no dice. I can easily copy params but not the sample itself.

Both only seem to affect A/B inputs, not levels over USB. My guess is that USB levels will come as part of Overbridge.

Setting USB AUDIO IN to PATTERN, you should be able to lower USB in with MIX SRC page.

i assume this is to avoid some nasty edge cases in long / complicated compositions. LEN=INF could be triggered somewhere earlier and never be affected by mutes further down the arrangement and so on

at first i was disappointed to see no INF option but then i figured it’s quite clever

This is to avoid drones…

Or a toothpick…

Brilliant! Thank you. Tonverk has so much flexibility, it takes a fair bit to get ones head around. Thanks again, really appreciate your help & patience :slightly_smiling_face:

Has anybody had success with quantized sample recording (starting on the 1, not just timed) without stopping the sequencer first?

No, it’s not yet a thing…

Is recording length tied to pattern length, or can you continue recording multiple loops? I usually do long takes with midi sequencer running and improvise with synth controls. Currently using the DAW for capturing.

Quantized length is 16 bars max (256 steps) but with MAX setting you can go up to 6m6s6ms. No joke. :smiling_imp:

Nice. How does pattern change affect playback of long samples wrt. polyphony? On DT2 I had to alternate between tracks to avoid long samples being cut off on pattern change.

That’d would be so grand.

I’ve noticed that a blank Filterbank FX on the Master squashes the sound a lot.
I find that to be a bit counter-intuitive as I would expect the untouched Filterbank not to modify the sound.

Does anybody else find ths peculiar?
