Tonverk speculations

now that would be insane… lots of mouthwatering stuff honestly, hope it’s real

There is mod matrix on Analog Heat +FX, it allows to send every every modulation to a second destination with a proper depth.

yeah, i just hope it’s better implemented in this one. on the AHFX it is really cumbersome to use.

So do we all agree it will definitely have FM and replace DN, based on the green button and text? The big question is what else it will have. Really hoping for some VA! And some basic sampling capabilities, like throw a DT I in there and let us resample tracks and/or master.

Good thing is I’m pretty satisfied with my setup right now, maybe replace DT with DT II. It would need to have some form of performance control and a way of recording stereo loops as stems to really bring something new to the table. I’m basically looking for something that can replace ST and DT for me, since I already have all of the synth power I could wish for in my Nina. And I like that ST is such a straightforward drum machine and main sequencer that invites you to sound design and just make tracks. Tonverk looks deeper for sure, but I don’t think that’s what my music needs right now. Of course, when this thing comes out, it will still be hard to resist.

granular for sure.

If it was a semi-open platform that people could develop new machines for that would be wonderful… just sayin.

not necessarily, for some reason I think it might be more limited, maybe between cycles and DN, not because it can’t but to simplify things, but it’s one of the things we can speculate endlessly, no way to know for sure until working demo

there’s a direct sampling button there, I hope it means samples, the icon is the same…

YES the original Elektron form factor

Is 1 1/2 digis an OT / MD / MK1 analog?

DN has 4 pages worth of parameters only dedicated to synthesis. I doubt source button will be 4 pages deep, that would be a bit slow.

whoaa

also seeing this elektronauts forums is another level weird

I didn’t necessarily mean that it has a DN inside. More like: this is Elektron’s digital synth for now that can do (4 OP?) FM and then some. Which could be enough to discontinue DN, even if it’s not the same thing.

yep my thoughts exactly, MAYBE it will be 2 pages deep but no way it will have everything DN has, at least that’s what I’m thinking…
maybe if the Matrix means real Mod Matrix then you’d be able to use if for cool fm stuff, but I think it would be simplified in general.

It has machines on a page which mean so the machines parameters are on one page, so… It won’t be a digitone but more like a syntakt with poly synth’s and sampling… probably not analog. If they have a way to power this thing with batteries then I will be much more interested. I’m pretty excited already though.

Now if you say it like that, I’m forgetting all my reasoning why I don’t need it posted above … Highly doubt samples will be stereo though.

with this usb-c I guess any suitable power band will do, no more bircords

nice nice :fire:

It might even be an Overbridge host with these USB-C ports

the dual usb-c definitely for a reason, single can handle a whole lot so two of them definitely for a reason!

also, sd card, no way it’s not for samples…
