Tonverk speculations

DN II and ST are safe. I can’t say the same about DT II.

Edit : but it looks like something that will handle all your other Synths so DT II One Shot Samples are still relevant.

I see DT more like a drum machine and TV like a recording and arranging one.

Thats true, but not for all of us.
I used it more as arranger, midisequencer and partly as mixer, not so much as performance tool.

Well the seller can buy it back for 900 once he realizes that TV is probably no OT replacement
The circle of gear continues…

good. The used prices are outrageous. When did that happen? I thought DPS-1 would go for like 7-800 regularly and now they are listed on reverb for like $1100 USD used? (tarriffs or just newfound hype?)

Anyways, tonverk looks like a neat brain for a setup, really excited to see the demos, but I guarantee it cannot do exactly the things I already use the OT for. If it’s a good midi sequencer though I might replace the hapax.

Octatrack goes new for ~1600 €, so the prices (they will fall fast, I’m pretty sure!) for used ones are relatively high.

I bought my first grey Octatrack mk2 a lot cheaper new, like ~1100 € as i remember, with decksaver. Prices for new items are going up all the time.

Repeat after me:

NO FADER = NO OT REPLACEMENT

Also, I don’t think this will have OT’s live sampling capabilities like REC TRIGS.

It’s more like the OT’s FXs, brain of your setup, MIDI capabilities enhanced (maybe, I still have to see if it has a quantizer and a MIDI ARP).

I don’t use the fader, so i don’t count, right?
I also don’t use the other live features of it.

lol then maybe Tonverk is just for you!

What do you use your OT for? I am curious now.

midi arranger, mixer, stem player
my soundmodule is 707, they pair well

Got my grey mk2 a few weeks ago for that price.

same. fader wasn’t a big part of my setup after I got used to using it as the brain of my setup, i focused more on other capabilities and use it only for a quick macro every so often.

8 tracks with 8 voices each is already quite a lot.

In Germany they go for 900, this is the first mk2 i saw so low, these are mk1 prices usually
