It’s a Digitone. If the sound wasn’t enough to give it away, you can see the 4 colored track buttons and the yellow screen without the censor.
Looks like a Digitone.
My investigation is heading in the direction of Overbridge in a box-like device. It would be something similar to the OT, but instead of input jacks, it would stream via USB. However, I’m curious about why there are only two USB-C ports. One is for power, and the second is to plug in the upcoming Overhub MK2?
I disagree with your assertion that this is causing damage. In fact, this is arguably the best marketing campaign ever for a device. With 3,000 posts in this thread and synth-tubers jumping on the bandwagon as well, I’d say it’s genius.
yeah but think about how many features been thrown here already, imagine the disappointment on people already expecting something that never meant to be.
obviously many people understand that this is prototype and nothing written in stone but many people already set their expectations on what might be unrealistic.
There will be no disappointment; Elektron will deliver. There’s nothing to worry about. Additionally, our thoughts provide valuable input for R&D. I’m confident they know what they are doing.
I also expect an overbridge enabled device. Tonverk has to be radically new. The existing devices cover so much and there is already a lot overlap between them it simply makes no sense to add something that does not have some totally new core functionality, some synthesis or sampling is not enough. I don’t think Elektron will go back towards MD/MM this has to be rather something modern, ie overbridge.
lol, calling this rabbit hole of 3000 unhinged speculation shitposts, photoshop measurements, design “improvement” suggestions, and off-piste stream of consciousness ramblings the best marketing campaign is something else
(No offense to elektronauts, I love this forum)
You’re new here, aren’t you?
wishful thinking, but many people already disappointed, and that’s before they even seen it work or heard a single sound coming out from it
Is it usual for european brands to build prototypes in China if they are not sure to produce it ?
What is the point making a sticker below it ?

I was not referring to you…but the fact that this prototype looks to be quite far into the production process.
I agree. Many businesses only dream about having customers talk and speculate about their products on a daily basis. That’s a very good place to be in as a company.
I know… I just couldn’t resist the straight line.
I don’t get the big deal about speculating or dreaming shit up on a forum.
I say let people do it here, at least in certain threads. You know, ones titled something like “Tonverk Speculations”. Imagine the pain and suffering their partners and coworkers are spared. We can take the brunt of all the nerdy talk about USB-c, data storage, user interface, etc.
I don’t imagine Elektron are wringing their hands and worrying about people being “disappointed”. They will design and build what they want to. People will either buy it or not.
The imagined barbaric hordes of “disappointed” customers will not violently storm the Elektron HQ. They might blow off a little steam on a forum. They’ll probably get over themselves eventually and buy the thing anyway. Or they’ll buy the next product.
good one - especially to be GAS’'ed up and buy the product anyway…
