What is the daily allotment/limit on hearts?

This may sound silly, but I find myself exceeding the amount quickly, and becoming a bit disappointed when not being able to heart a helpful comment and approaching 4 or 9 hour long wait times until being able to do so again. Is Elektron trying to impose an OT style system of love on the forum, and if so, is there a Merlin’s guide for the hearts here? [I'm Gonna Love You Just A Little More Baby]
