Tonverk Feature Requests

Maybe I’m misunderstanding you but I think that’s possible already right? By switching to a subtracks machine, and using the slot at the top (not at my Tonverk now but it’s either called empty or new)

Then function + key opens the sample browser to assign a sample to that subtrack

Oops, you’re right. I guess I missed the “create new” at the top too…

Has anybody requested MIDI control of the mix track parameters for track levels yet? That seems like the best way to make a crossfader by creating a mod macro targeted at the CC’s for two tracks at once. I don’t think I have any sequencers that can macro to two channels at once so just sending mods to two CC’s on the mix track to get crossfade seems like it could work.

-Global transpose instead of track transpose (or both like in digitone 2 )
-Multimap function (like digitone 1 and A4 1 and 2)
-A track modulator that go ahead step per step via note trigger of the Maine track ( like - exactly- varigate 4 of malekko )

MIDI note out option for all track machines please , like on the big elektron boxes…

Visual feedback when modulation is mapped to a parameter. E.g. I assign a sine wave LFO to the cutoff frequency of the filter on my single instrument track ; you visually see the filter moving, you get the idea.

In the same vein : with the filter bank, being able to modulate all the banks at the same time instead of each band as a modulation destination.

Gosh yes…have wanted this (visual feedback) for so long. (Also for DT and DN.)

This is one of the great strengths of so many of those “boxes” nowadays. One that executes it really well is the torso S4. I really hope it is implemented soon.

Yes, but this concerns also the SEND FX, where you don’t have nothing on the first page except SOURCE. My perspective could be biased because I also use an external MIDI CONTROLLER (Faderfox pc12) so I have the sends mapped for each track on the controller and I don’t need to move them on the TONVERK.

Anyway, I think REMEMBER SUBPAGE would almost solve the problem since you mangle and FX, then go to another track, then, when you come back, you are already on the FX and you don’t have to scroll again.

PERSONALIZE OPTION - BANNERS ON/OFF

A personalize option to disable banners displaying parameter and volume changes would be nice. I see their usefullness if Tonverk is being controlled externally. In my case, since it’s either master or solo, these banners only duplicate information already being displayed and block the birds eye view of the project in the process.

Volume changes could definitely be a much smaller percentage graphic which takes up space that is currently empty or just momentarily is displayed where the current pattern number is or something similar.

Please implement KIT’s. It’s impossible to use the device without KITs. All’s Perform and Memorize/Recall functions don’t replace the workflow logic you’ve long since mastered in your Silver devices.

To be able to return to a saved pattern version in TV, you have to press “memorize” or enter Perform Mode after EVERY pattern change. Otherwise, you’ll have to load the project and pause playback.

Like octatrack saved parts! Parts are good but can be a bit of a pain to maintain.

It would be nice tho if each time you change to a new pattern an automatic memorize was done.

Perhaps just a tad overstated…?

I can confirm that the parameter banners on the top of the screen weren’t there for every parameter, not at least in 1.2.0.
It would be really helpful having an option to reduce its screen time or even remove them.
There is also a new banner with “Track Routing” that shows up every time a track is selected, looks more like a bug.

Note length longer than 128 steps (ideally at least 256 to match the sequencer pages + an “infinite” option at the end to sustain drones)

Bus track presets would be great (and favorites)

Considering tracks can’t have reverb, I’m basically always using a bus that has reverb followed by dirtshaper or compression

I’m glad I read this.
I’d really love to experience even more how beautiful my Tonverk is through the LED as visual feedback. Tweak the compressor? The LED shows it instantly.
Choose a sine, square, or random waveform? The LED dances right along in sync. When nothing is selected, the LED turns into a proper VU meter. Moving with the same organic, ballistic swing as a classic analog one, grooving to the output all night long.

Hmm that could apply to the length of a pattern or song. The same analogy used in Ableton Live

Func+recall in case if there is no “memorize” point, Please add a function to return to the project’s saved state (on the SD card). Instead of “NO MEMORIZED STATE”
