Tonverk Feature Requests

Not a decent workaround. Max trig length should be 256 steps minimum ! + INF

Try to mute a track with infinite amp release ! Mute behavior depends on release time.

Probably other reasons to have INF…but I am not at it…and this one suffice to me.

@curiouspassenger With infinite trig length I was often sequencing some sustained sounds that would retrigger some envelope only at the beginning of the sequence. You are right, you can also do that with INF amplitude.

I know this is small thing and I should not get so worked up over this… but this device feels just so unfinished, it’s driving me crazy. Some features make absolutely zero sense. I guess for now, I’ll just put it on the shelf and wait for the next update. If not much will change, I will just get rid off it.

Has anyone heard an update on the LST trig condition? I use this ALOT on dt2/dn2 so I’m pretty bummed its not on TV. From what I heard it was there for a while but didn’t work so they removed it.

I may have repeated my feature requested, a MIDI Learn please?

Maybe it’s a little more challenging to code since we have different transitions mode on tonverk like direct jump and direct start ….

I think they can’t ignore this and slices while it was so much requested. When they add this they will sell a tons more tonverk!

i offered a super quick solution to make it…
it should be fairly simple to do and very useful to play with…
its a quick patch until the real thing will come…

it looks the same as grid mode on DT2 but less handy, and you cannot adrress precise lfo to slice this way .seems unlikely they do it this way

From talking to a few users, the impression is that the Digitakt 2 and Tonverk were released too close together. As a result, given the small difference in price but significant difference in features, if the Tonverk had the basic sampler functions that so many of us are asking for (time stretching, pitch shifting, slicer…), it could put the other one out of business. I’m really happy to have the Tonverk, but man… These are really serious shortcomings, at the moment…

What again brings me to the idea again, that it would be so great if ELEKTRON would go away from “complete” boxes to a desktop “module” system with a separate main sequencer or 2 (which could integrate things like additional LFOs, ENVs, etc), for all other modules like sampler modules, sound generators, FX module etc.

Not basic function related like Eurorack, which you have to connect with cables, but with some kind of bus so they play together and which could even give us things like “analog output module with filters” etc.

Don’t know how realistic this idea is, but at the moment there is thisoverlap of the existing boxes but at the same time you wish the one had the fx from the other and that one had the sample functions of this one, etc etc it is also not really satisfying plus every now and then the MK2 version is released and you have to pay for the whole shabang again. Updating single modules would be somehow nicer it seems to me.

Instead of 0-127 it’d be more useful for me to have 16Hz-26.900KHz. Yeah work that one out Elektron. Arturia managed it on the MicroFreak.

Of course I use my ears yet I also know what a dash of 5k does.

Ahh the analog wins again but I’m pretty sure that some finer control over the filter cutoff is possible. A higher resolution.

It’s a pretty arbitrary idea and I am just thinking out loud.

I would love to see an Elektron machine of their interpretation of a Round-Robin playback sampler. Would be wonderful on its own, and could already integrate with the Multi-Sampler and the library of Multisamples.

I think something in this vicinity could be a great addition to the Tonverk which stays perfectly within the theme of its sample related Machines.

I’m pretty sure it can do round robin if you use a tool and copy the files onto Tonverk , just not on the actual device atm
Take a look at the subtrack tools on this forum
Plus loopseek can do it for multi samples

Yeah I totally hear you. Again, it’s not so much about being able to do Round Robin, as it is a dedicated machine behind the creativity of Electron exploring Round Robin. Parameters useful for Round Robin just waiting to be P-locked

I’m not 100% sure if this is a new feature request as maybe it’s something it can already do and I’m not in the know. I’m fairly new to Elektron so still learning.

A sequencer lane as a modulation source, so you can have stepped modulation at a different rate/length to the track. You can do this in some ways by using busses. I.e. have TRK 1 with a 16 step sequence, send it to a BUS with a length of say 6 with locks controlling a parameter on an effect. So they run at slightly different times. But it’d be nice to be able to do this on a track itself as a modulation source so you could assign it to track based things like decay, or position on a wavetable etc.
It could be a machine for a bus track that can be selected from any other track as a modulation source perhaps. Potentially even with 2 or 3 parameters to sequence.

Also a bonus idea that said step sequencer can either run with the clock as normal (like the bus method) or work where it only moves on a step with each new note (a bit like Native Instruments Rounds).

Feels like it would fit that ‘sonic pathfinder’ vibe they seem to be going with.

I have the assumption TV will be able to do Round Robin natively in the end.
I would really like to use it, but cant be bothered to go tweak code to achieve it atm.

Also multisampling acoustic material (without midi) is hopefully something to be implemented.

Auto-preview in sample browser like the DT2

As you say, it’ll become native at some point. In the meantime, I’d recommend this one:

It really doesn’t get any easier to use, and there’s no code tweaking required.
