Tonverk: bug reports

I also experienced that, but can you hear audio modulation ?

Oddly I cannot hear any modulation, might be a visual bug or maybe the modulation amt is very small… can’t tell…

I just reproduced it (A.POS 0, speed 35) and I could hear it.
You can report it I think. I may do it later…(done)

Will do.

I’ve noticed this since FW1.2.0

If I set compressor ratio to 20 then restart it is at 16

This happens sometimes, have not been able to effectively reproduce it.

Although it has happened regularly enough for me to notice.

(This is not due to faulty encoders, it only happens with comp ratio)

Maybe some can shed some light on this?

Subtracks machine still use a random kit from time to time. Wavefinder sound and settings sometimes disappear from a track when rebooting the device.

Try using the tonverk as a slave it works perfectly switching patterns 100% of the time - in my case the Analog Four is a great master - the Syntakt also works well to drive the tonverk

agree - same here especially the update

don’t u get latency tho? TV audio is noticeably late when I have it as midi slave

I made a multiplayer instrument from some samples on Pianobook. I had some problems before with other samples not playing correctly due to loop points being “incorrectly” set in the .wav file or something before, so to make sure that wouldn’t happen, I ran them through a file converter that fixed it for me with single samples.

The preview plays just fine, but when I try to load the instrument, TV tells me “FAILED TO LOAD INSTRUMENT MULTI PLAYER SAMPLE ERROR.”

EDIT: only after the instrument fails to load, if I enter and exit USB DISK MODE, I get an “SD CARD ERROR” message.

EDIT 2: Ever since 1.3.2, after booting Tonverk, it takes like 5 minutes for the Multi Player instrument list to populate.

I mesured 9 ms late if slaved. But it compensate audio latency, so if midi master audio outs are in TV, TV is 4 ms ahead…

Best way to connect/synchronize Tonverk and Digitone 2? - #15 by sezare56

I MIDI synced Tonverk and AR, and ran metronome on both machines. I recorded the output in Ableton and measured the distance between two metronome sounds. Not sure how accurate this is but you can definitely see that the two sounds do not align.

Super weird bug I got today for the first time.

I had a track set up with wavefinder and the keyboard stoped working when the the pattern wws playing. Hit stop and suddenly it would make sounds again. Fixed by a reboot.

Had you been playing before the icon on the upper right had ceased turning? Or were you well deep in the middle of a session?

playhead glitchy, hesitates and jumps. song bpm 56, track runs at 2x, fw1.3.2

Anyone else had a bug where if you use the keyboard to change a note value in the sequencer the trig loses its fx tail? only way I fixed was to rerecord it and workaround is to change the note in the trig menu not the keyboard. other times keyboard change works fine. weird

Sure it’s not due to note length? If you’re live recording the trig length is stored per note (visible per note in step edit mode.) If using grid editing mode you will end up with the note length set on the TRIG page unless you plock it differently

Scrolling through this thread is a rollercoaster.
Hope this and following boxes get enough development.

you sound like you know what you’re doing mate!

I actually don’t seem to be registering any note length locks when I live record either. It’s always the same per step , weird. So you’re saying that if I live record and go into normal elektron editing mode (record button) I won’t see note lengths or maybe even velocity (I didn’t get any vel changes playing in on my keystep either) …that what , I need to push step edit button instead and then i can see note length and velocity ? Cheers

This mesures audio offset, not midi latency. I made similar audio recordings with DN2 and TV to checks audio offset, and depending on audio routing, master / slave, I could get very different results from 2ms to 15ms audio offset !

Audio offsets results

I don’t know how to mesure midi latency, maybe with TV master, and transport receive, send it a start message and mesure when it sends start…(may try that today)
