hi all and just got an octatrack and i am just getting my head around it .

My interest is in creating polyrhythmic and unusual evolving loops and i know thats something this and the monomachine can do well ( i got one of those the day before yesterday !)

I am trying to create text file i can call up to remind me of all the tricks and stuff i should learn and with that in mind are there any tricks people found that totally freaked them out.

here i have to understand parameter locks ? so they are ste events but can they be shifted forward or backwards or modulated so they hit different sounds on different steps ?

Stuff like sample start point modulation and loop point modulation are also of interest .

Love to hear the modulation tricks you found that really worked well.

Use different individual track lengths. Also, don’t be afraid to turn off live quantizing.
