The wild world of Amazon knockoffs

What a learning experience this thread has turned out to be. We’re spinning the straw of the neoliberal free market hellscape into gold!

I think it could be a reaaly cool feature, imagine a reference track button on your mixer, how cool is that
there’s a catch though, the reference track is fixed and it’s Darude Sandstorm!

I think the last remaining mixer button mysteries are “laughter” and “cheer”, both presumably oriental concepts beyond my understanding.

nah, it meant for streamers, they use these fx during their streams, like when doing something in the game or watching some clip that supposed to be funny they use it as if they’re doing these fake sitcom crouds

I actually did at least 15 years ago, and never looked back. It’s the only solution.

These sort of knock-offs do appear elsewhere, but this is ridiculous…!

Happily it appears the well of mysteries is bottomless. Actually I don’t suppose being bottomless is a desirable feature in a well, but you get my point. Here’s a new challenger that’s fulfilled by Amazon and equipped with the required 9277 button - but lean in and look closer, professor, because there’s more:

This one has a “Mary” button. I’ve Googled “Mary karaoke button” and now I’m out of leads, so I’m hoping out our resident mixer anthropologists will chip in so I don’t have to get the bus down to the Amazon warehouse and start throwing a few twenties around.

9277 it’s a chinese kamasutra position

…never gonna feel comfy with this whole amazonnnnnnn thing…

but that flim flam artist thing, is defenitly a thing…
in this consumrism uber alles-all on direct direct demand plastic world times we’re existing in…

while in the end, all that matters for granted, is just buy once for real, something with truu decent quality instead of again and again another next one minute satisfaction item that’s nothing but a ripp off…

I love the Giggle button

A sad omission from the Digitakt II IMO.

It’s a minimum 2 unit order, so I’ll need someone who’s willing to go halves and also ideally willing to pay upfront and get the money off me when our green Octatracks arrive.

Amazon never really cared about stopping junk, its entire Bazaar model seems to rely on it.

Etsy also went all in on destroying their homemade goods priority chasing EBay’s shift to prioritizing resellers.

I’m sick of companies who consider themselves “platforms” who welcome this spam.
