Does that qualify as a pedal?
Very nice though. The problem with discovering new gear is new Gas.

Not sure if any of these are strictly pedals, but a Zen Delay, Doctor A and a Dreadbox Raindrops would all be quite fun, I suspect.

I’m abusing the system.

For me, Pedal = HW FX unit

My Korg Kronos satisfies that definition as well :sunglasses: PS: I would not want to step on it though.

This came in the mail today, scratches that pedal itch for now. Sounds awesome, love Spaceman pedals.

Like most of you, an H90 and Mood MKII and I’d kinda dig the Boss SY-1000 to send through those other 2. Also like most of you, 2k on effect pedals? Yeah, no…for now. Today, at least.

Looks like the Boss DM-101 might be in a few lists soon.

I’m waiting for some demos with synths rather than guitars, but yeah, the GAS is building up. I’m a sucker for analog delay and this looks the business. Quite pricey, though :cold_sweat:

I found a good deal on a new Habit and caved in. Oops! But also Yay (yay yay ay yaw wwaayy yayayaa)!!

True, but if it’s the delay to end all delays, then it’s not too bad.

You’ll be disappointed (maybe) :

Press play and you’ll hear the catch.

apologies if I’m going off-track- but this makes me realize - I think the blooper has the same issue - with synths, I’ve found it’s very tricky to get the levels right without undesirable breakup.
I need to process his workaround. not gelling in my mind, atm

Yeah, I’m aware it doesn’t have a line/instrument switch like the RE-202. That’s one of the reasons I’m waiting for more synth demos. But I’m thinking: will it really be any worse than working with stompboxes in general? I usually get by with just being careful with the input levels. If not, then I guess a reamp box is the only way.

In theory, it’s just “keep the level fairly low going into the pedal”.

I don’t have a Blooper. My CBA Mood didn’t seem very tolerant of line-level signals. CBA told me Mood should handle line level just fine, but they suggested that “line level” is a fixed reference and that synths often exceed it. I think this means they didn’t engineer in enough headroom, personally, but they wrote it as if they were right and all synth makers were wrong.

Re-ampers exist to help with this: Reamp - Radial Engineering (Radial ones are expensive but built to withstand life on the road). I had one of the stereo ones for a while. It worked very well. Basically, they attenuate line level down to instrument level and better match the impedances. The more complex ones provide an amplification path back the other way, mix controls and so on.

Reamp boxes don’t just bring the level down, they match impedance as well. Some pedals or amps can be so picky that just bringing the level down isn’t enough.

this reamp hp looks like it’s perfect for “hello boutique guitar pedal, meet synth”. especially since it sums. Do we think that just because it’s marketed as headphone out reAmping that it’s not a good idea to feed a synth into the input? In my case, it would probably go through the mixer first, and then reamp from the aux out…

I have a Roland JV1080 with a p"keyboards of the 60s and 70s" ROM card…

Most of the Hammond and clavs sound excellent when run through the deco, the saturation and modulation make them sound alive and they cutt through a mix. Its subtle though.

Sold all my pedals (and I had a few top choices from these GAS lists), bought this… love it… simple. Cheap. Sounds good.

exactly. and works very well as jack-of-all-trades in live rig.
