lol yeah i feel like it’s probably a common pipeline

there are definitely a lot of parallels / gear as a dopamine hit etc

when it comes to weird boutique stuff, pedals can definitely be similar to eurorack

Humanprogram:

FX pedals helped to walk me back away from the modular synths cliff

elektron boxes helped me stay away from eurorack- being able to process audio with vcv rack is also a huge help (highly recommend running digitone through the vcv clouds)

pedal-wise though it would be really nice to have a nice analog bbd or juno chorus as the one or two things that software can’t completely pull off

I had pretty much the same thoughts (and also enjoy running things through Fx on iPad), got a Carbon Copy BBD, a Blues Driver overdrive, and am putting new caps on my mid-90s Super Chorus… they’re settling into partners in my synth setup, but RIP cable management…

When the Boss DM-101 came out I thought that’s the one I want but now that the Strymon Brig is out I’m having doubts. Also the Deco V2 makes me rethink if I want the Generation Loss MK2.

Deco + Brig + Cloudburst seems like a perfect trio that will complement any instrument.

A major concern with this last generation of UAFX pedals is that you can’t access certain features without the app. Not even through a computer, you need the mobile app through BT. That’s a huge no-go. Actually, it’s a big minus.

The first generarion of pedals is far less app-centric and also benefit from a slightly better design.

You even have to register the pedal with them via the app to unlock everything.
The lack of MIDI control is very disappointing, too.
With Bluetooth connectivity, they could have led the charge in supporting wireless MIDI control rather than only being wired; but instead, these have neither.

Can’t recommend the Strymon - Timeline enough though (if you’re someone that knows the kind of delay you’re after) Superb sound, and great user interface.

In need of a Phaser/Flanger/modulator pedal… with Stereo I/O. For tracking Polysynths through. Anyone got any suggestions?

Mood II and Gen II in new ltd colours are on route - they were the two I was gassing for to go alongside my CXM1978 (a CXM style delay would be cool)

Wouldn’t mind revisiting a Pete Cornish NG3 fuzz again for my guitar - however the Axe FX III and Quad Cortex has kind of killed my pedal GAS and I have been meaning to use the secondary and third Axe FX inputs / outputs for my Elektrons.

Still hanging on to my original WH-1 Whammy and Cornish Fuzz / ODs despite not using them!

I think the primary gap in my FX selection is some kind of bit crusher/ digi lofi thing, so I’ve also been eyeing these two. The Ottobit has been disqualified because of switching to mono when engaging the stutter effects (you can hear it at around 1:06 here).

Right now I’m looking at the SE2 and the Red Panda Bitmap 2
