…intresting…first, heaps of hurraays…now, heaps of naaaays…
i found no time yet, to get my hands and ears dirty with scaler 3…it’s already embedded in the note lab of my bitwig blank project file, but can’t really judge it for now…

To be fair, for me at least all of that has to be read in the context that on my first go at trying to get stuck in it irrecoverably crashed every 10 minutes. And having read up the thread a bit it turns out that probably I should’ve done a clean install:
Did this and tried some of the same stuff that had knocked it over, but so far so good. So possibly a bit of user error going into this also.
It feels like it wants you to use its arranger as a default, the old way of putting chords into part c and triggering them from the keyboard doesn’t really work. For me it seems like doing that and bouncing it into the sketches section might be the way, a bit more cumbersome than before. Also a bit more confusing to enter custom scales, in general I feel like as well as the arranger presets and genres are a bit in the way. But probably gonna be great for e.g. songwriters and stuff like commercial scores working to a deadline.
Anyway, now that it doesn’t seem to be crashing all the time - which again to be fair seems like it was a lot to do with user error - I’m definitely going to give it more time to figure out a way that works for me.
FYI, there’s a new update out, per the forum, and the big update comes at the end of the month.
Hello,
I would like to read the Scaler 3 manual asap.
The link is dead, page not found. They might be changing the blue background.
I don’t care.
Could you email me a copy ?
thanks
Unfortunately I never downloaded the pdf when available. My guess is they’ll have the updated 3.1 version available shortly.
