Late to the Blog party, but gotta say Nice music Barfunkel!

Baby Loops & ā€˜Art of loop’ are both really deep and full.

New track is up. Kinda wonky and a bit jazzy or something.

I don’t write on here too often, but I’ve been diggin’ your tracks and this last one deserves a comment. I’d love this on vinyl. Greetings from Norway.

Thanks! I wish a vinyl release was possible, but pressing vinyl is very expensive. Maybe after this project is over I’ll try to fund a record with 2-4 of the best tracks I made.

A new track again! This time a bit of disco loop cut up madness:

Ever trief some Vinyl cutting instead of pressing?
I was wondering cause a friend of mine is DJing and he would like to play one of my tunes
You can make a 10min track for 30 something €. Can’t be good, can it?

You mean like a dubplate? Those are of much worse quality than vinyl, especially after a few plays.

^This was the case back in the days with laquer-dubplates…

Nowadays there are PVC-dubplates, which are of same quality (in every aspect) & sometimes even better soundwise as pressed vinyl if produced correctly.
Im a cutter @ www.duophonic.de so if you guys have anymore questions feel free to contact me

Regarding your blog & project Barfunkel:
I already wrote you a page long PM which got lost due the forum being buggy as hell :zonked: To not write everything again - thanks for sharing this project, that was motivating to me. Keep going, im sure you can do it!

btw, the dead end still catches me the most please finish that one someday and send it to me!!! (will cut it onto a dubplate for sure)

Oh sweet, I didn’t know PVC dubplates existed. And those are very cheap? I assume they need the same kind of a mastering job as vinyl does?

m8, you should start a kickstarter project for a vinyl if this project is over. I am in for sure!

I was actually just yesterday thinking about what to do after 1st of July when this project is over and starting a new blog about starting a record label from scratch is one idea. The best idea I’ve had so far actually.

No idea how to fund it yet though, but Kickstarter is one way to do it.

Hah, apparently Kickstarter is illegal in Finland.
