I was hanging a wall clock in the bathroom,
i slipped on the wet porcelain and hit my
head, and when i came too, i drew this…
The Sfx-6+ Mk-II…
With added functions, like the AnalogKeys!
What would you add?

Maybe a bigger screen and bank of Track faders. Sky is the limit really.
Come on, where is the flux capacitor, man?
That would be a serious modulation source, but something has to be done about your kids…
I like it but I just don’t have the purchase power, so don’t con me Biff.

Yes please!!!
With black box Elektron features like micro timing, performance mode, individual track length, A4 style patch organization for easier sound per-step change. Updated FX algorithms.
A few new bonus features in there too, crazy stuff us users have probably never considered.
Also, I’d prefer a more compact 32-key layout, like DSI Mopho Keyboard.
Why? It fits in a carry-on approved hard case without issue.
That screen could be a bit bigger! and maybe a dedicated sequencer just for the arp.
Been thinking Elektron should make a battery powered monomachine, like the op1 styling but with a sequencer, Would be cool…
Thats what the SFX-6 should have been like instead of the stupid quirky desgin they went with, so two people can play it at the same time.
Actually, as I’ve said before, the best design decision for the SFX-6 was to have made the keyboard detachable from the main unit / have a core connector cable, then you could use it in any configuration you liked. Probably would have shifted a lot more units like that imho.
Yeah, the micro timing would be great! And the voice allocation from the Four
or Keys… 6 voice poly!!!
everytime i use my OT i wish there was a MnM in it.
they should come out w/a MKIII some day. shrug.
Yeah, but it’s a digital synth and chips have gotten far cheaper since the first, or even the 2007 revision of, MnM.
If we’re pulling out all the stops I want 12 or even 24 voices and allow them to be allocated any way I choose per track.
More drum sounds.
More effects and effect types.
If we’re starting from scratch over a decade after the first product, we can go a bit nuttier.
A bigger screen will be an imperative.
Wot? No scatter?
And a little sampler unit so that it can be fed itself with wavetables, on the fly ?
I’d love to see granular sampling/synthesis and extended FM on a new MnM, coupled to their new analog filters of course! And Overbridge, natrually.

Good bye my old friend!!!
It’s not leaving my desk, oh no !
foreva !
