The grocery store was having a sale on some New York Strip Steaks, and I gotta say, for $6, it was a decent steak. I might grab a couple more and pop them in the freezer.

Hey man, the Browns are now 2-1 since you wrote this and playing some Thursday Night Football tonight. They could take the lead of your division. Cheers! ![]()
Go Browns!
Yeah intoxicated!

Im hung over! Go Browns! What day is it?

Told you dude! Those Browns are rolling!
BTW, I think it is still Friday, but I’m a few drinks in, so I have tossed my calendar out the window.
P.S. This message has reached you 14 hours later, so it may be next Friday by now.
Your Browns have a better record than my Seahawks?! I’ll drink to that! (Brunello translates to “little brown one” I believe…)
@Kegeratorz - @Juniper_Steels will act as the sommelier for the Browns, and also the English/Italian translator when the partnership goes global. You and I will help in drinking the wine. Synergy.
Cooked up a new cocktail tonight.
A Fig Smoking A Cig
2oz. Ardbeg Wee Beastie
1/3oz. Liber & Co. Carmelized Fig Syrup
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Garnished with fresh Rosemary
I wanted to play off of the raw power of the Ardbeg Wee Beastie I cracked a couple weeks ago, which is a raw, peaty smokey scotch that that I believe I described as “…spiced, smoked pork that’s smoldering in the coals of a bonfire”. I wanted to work off of savory elements, and the caramelized fig simple syrup did the trick. The fresh Rosemary really elevated the final result, because when you breathe that in as you are sipping it, it really enhances the overall “seasoned sweet & savory smoked pork dish” aspect of it. Bitters for seasoning. Don’t leave out the seasoning. And while I used Ardbeg Wee Beastie, I imagine it would work well with other Ardbeg expressions.
Cooked up a steak, and used the same rosemary garnish in the finishing butter. Reduce, Reuse &. Recycle people! My side of the evening was a salad which was made up of chickpeas, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella pearls, and olives, tossed with some olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette.
And currently on the deck is John Coltrane ‘Ballads’:
Apparently I bought another pair of speaker cables last night. Somewhere after my 3rd or 6th? glass of scotch. Idk. Maybe the science behind bi-wiring HiFi speakers sounds better when you’re drunk. At least I have an excuse if anyone asks.
Now that sounds like an excellent combo! Cheers! ![]()
Alright, so the big question then is, Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind + Massive Attack, or Wizard of Oz + Dark Side of the Moon? Thoughts, people?
Die Hard + Chocolate and Cheese by Ween
Damn that’s brilliant!
I’m picturing Hans Gruber falling from the building while 'What Deaner Was Talking About" is playing.
