Isnt the Material Not very fragile?
Pipes falling down and will be Go away.

It’s a risk, but quartz is more resistant than glass or borosilicate glass. Vaphit provides a replacement bowl and cap.
I forgot one of the biggest strengths compared to a Dynavap, the quartz cap has a fairly high thermal inertia, it slowly cools down, you heat it up 12 sec and you have three nice puffs before heating it up 8 sec for two or three more.

2nd beer and tired, trying to fiidle with the DT, feeling uninspired while also having FOMO for not going to the Cocktail Party Effect performance and party… though there will be a talk kind of thing tommorow so that’s cool at least I guess.

Idk, I’m betwwen making effort and forcing it. knowing what is right and actually changing the mindeset about it.

love the DT, but feeling like the groovebox concept is just not for me, so now I am looking for hardware thats going to help me more withe the generative music aspect. even when I try to get that kind of thing from the DT, I get stuck after I get the feeling that choosing and finding samples is becoming a chore.

wish I could go back the the feeling of beeing excited about the DT. I know all the troubles of GAS and all that thing. It’s my only instrument not counting the laptop anyway, and I am kinda sure another piece of gear won’t change anything inherently.

lots of new music to listen to and enjoy at least, November seems always filled with it.

if i had to rank drugs by how many times i wake up soaking wet in my bed after taking them, Tylenol PM would be S tier. that shit turns my body into a sweating stone every time.

MDMA may come in second at A tier

tangent: that reminded me of this time in taiwan when some friends of mine were visiting right before the pandemic started and we took some absolutely bonkers MDMA. had a great time, but the next day i woke up and all of the clothes i had been wearing the night before were balled up in the middle of the floor absolutely soaking wet. nothing else in my room was wet but the clothes were so drenched there was a puddle forming around them. later on i was talking to my friends and they told me that the same thing happened to them, they woke up back in their hotel and their clothes were also balled up in the middle of the floor, absolutely drenched. quite a mystery.

How do you make this?

This is how I do it. This recipe is for a 16oz mason jar, but can be doubled if you want to do it for a whole bottle of whisky.

  1. Cook the bacon. This is an important and delicious step.
  2. Take about 1 - 2 oz of bacon grease and pour it through a fine mesh strainer or maybe cheese cloth into a mason jar.
  3. Add your bourbon or other whisky to the mason jar, put the lid on and shake it well.
  4. Leave it out on your counter at room temp for a couple of hours, then put it in your freezer overnight.
  5. Take it out of the freezer and scoop out some of that solidified bacon grease that is hardened on top so you can get to the liquid. Pour that liquid through a coffee filter into another mason jar. I have a small funnel I use that works well with a small coffee filter and sits on top of the mason jar. I usually go through 2 filters. I have to switch half way because the first filter gets usually clogged up with the hardened grease.
  6. Enjoy! *Also, I do store it in the fridge.

I am about to make my bacon old fashioned with maple syrup.

*Edited recipe.

Bacon Old Fashioned:

  • 2oz bacon infused bourbon
  • .25oz maple syrup (feel free to adjust to your sweetness level)
  • 2 - 3 dashes bitters. I used Dashfire Old Fashioned bitters, but Angostura also works great. *Black Walnut bitters really adds something as well to this one.
  • Garnish with slice of bacon.

**Edited recipe, again.

Shig’s Magic Teabag Old-Fashioned

Day before:

  • ply Shig with copious amounts of full-English Breakfast and Vanilla Milkshakes
  • secure “Sweat Elicitor” MDMA from Taiwan, and send Shig to good local club
  • Do NOT let Shig shower upon 5 am return

Day of:

  • drop Shug’s junk into large mason jar while he remains asleep, and fill jar with Old Grandad
  • Let steep for 2-3 hours

2 oz Shig Bourbon
2-3 dashes of Angistura Orange Bitters
1 sugar cube
Stirred over ice, garnish with vanilla bean

This sounds like a gross process, but the results are :ok_hand:

Side note: This also happens to how Shig refers to his you-know-what.
