Good, that means in the mean time i can still enjoy my MnM MKII for the rest of the year stress free…lol…this alone has put me through a learning curve…and who knows…the way the Media is soo gready,i have to wonder in the back of my mind if i still will Rather have MnM over any new one they come out with…when the Analog Four and Octatrack came out, i was still hooked on the MnM even tho it’s older…something about it…i donno…it’s so Exciting to draw out new ideas…Seems like i’m extracting something new every time i use it.
The Monomachine is still the greatest Elektron machine of them all
But after buying and selling it like 4 or 5 times, I love everything about it except for the fact that I have outgrown its limited core sound
I was extremely lucky to start on a Sid and Monomachine SFX6 Key and I have gone through all the Elektron boxes with the exception of only spending a few days on the Analog Rytm…
I believe powerfully in the potential of such a machine, be it Analog or an advanced new digital, the Monomachine is perfect in many ways and could just use a new core sound source as well as any other welcomed improvements
And please oh please let it be any color other than black…
I’m in no rush for a new Monomachine. I love it a lot. And it’s really only mono in name. Maybe they would do a poly version, but I don’t have much trouble getting polyphony from it.
I would like to see something like a dedicated FM machine. Maybe some weird hybrid with analog filters? I’m actually really curious about what they are going to do next that won’t overlap much with their current offerings, although I’m in no rush to get anything new.
I finally took my Screen protector off…Nice Shiny Glassy finish, but wow, looks like it can easily be scratched…i took it off once before and put it back on and now it looks terrible,so i finally took it off again…does anyone know if this is Gorilla Glass like the Cell Phones? Can this easily be scratched? i don’t want to loose the Value JUSTTTT in case i do sell it sometimes in the future…lol…
how did you know that … did Elektron mentioned something[/quote]
No - I mean, it’s a hunch that if they are doing a new box, work will already be underway if they want to do a 2015 release.
I’ve been considering buying a MnM, but I notice Sweetwater and JRR are out of stock, and Elektron is “back ordered” on what I reckon is not a very big seller. So I think they are emptying out their channel. For a DSP based device, it’s been a long life already.
I hope to see an Elektron D8, with analogue filters, an updated midi sequencer, and hopefully a little keyboard like the A4. Maybe more polyphony than analog filters, available in pure digital mode. Pure speculation. Just a wishlist. Actually, while wishing, throw in the CV outputs of the A4.
I also prefer the ‘old style’ aluminum, as it is less cluttered. But I really doubt that now. The new style is probably cheaper to manufacture.
I wouldn’t take it being out of stock as a sign that it will be phased out soon. Products go out of stock all the time, and it seemed like the Mono was in stock until recently.
I’ll always love the Monomachine. One of the most unique synths ever made. It’s like some girl from a foreign country that you just can’t stop thinking about, even though you don’t always understand her.
hmmm I live in a foreign country, and there are lots of girls I think about and mostly don’t understand…
for a long time the MnM was far easier to deal with…
easy to turn on
less expensive
looked just as nice in the morning after a big night
made some nice noises when I hit the right buttons
and importantly would shut up when I’d had enough
thats so fucking cute man! … just took my MM out of the box again, after putting her away once the OT made it into my life and the AR … what a girl she is!
and for the OP … where is your proof that Elektron is releasing or cooking anything? facts please!
no matter what it is… just take my money elektron , please!
