I’d say no
congrats! nothing like the sound of a loved 909 hitting my ears raw
Super groovy! Dope set.
Been putting together a 2x104hp live-case to get ready for the summer.
Feels like it’s coming together nicely, and I should be able to squeeze a 2-hour set out of it and still keep in interesting.
Here’s a stereo-recording I just did, trying to keep a chill, dubby, vibe while still keeping it fast and danceable.
Sounds super ! I love fast dub techno- its stage ready from the track you posted - show more Which sequencer do you use? How do you record ? And what is the final compressor?
Thanks, buddy.
I’m recording a set this weekend, can post it here afterwards.
For trigger/gates I use Squarp Hermod, Dnipro Dot and for pitch I use Hermod, Mimetic Digitalis and some clocked lfos.
I’m trying to keep the case as small as possible, so I removed my end-of-chain stuff from the rack and I’m actually using an iPad with Cubasis Master Strip on the stereo signal.
I have some presets that work great for what I’m trying to do.
I keep a small audio interface and the iPad (with the screen turned off) behind my rack, so I don’t even have to see it.
I have the hapax, but i have no clue about the hermod, is it also very intuitive to handle? Does it also have that transpose track where other tracks follow its lead?
Yes keen on listening further stuff from you!
I wouldn’t say the Hermod is as intuitive and playable as the Hapax.
It can get quite complex and is pretty deep, but the small screen is pretty much useless for me nowadays, because of worsening eye-sight.
I use other cv controllers to control it, basically.
And it can generate new modulation or sequences, transpose etc by receiving gates and cv.
I use it as a Euclidian sequencer, lfo, melody generator, note quantizer, midi hub plus more.
Packs very much in a small space, but the screen sucks.
Haven’t shared anything in a while, so here’s a broken (due to ground noise) spontaneous idea that started with a few wrong knob twists on my modular system.
A bit slower than usual Industrial/Hypnotic Broken beat Downtempo techno - Improvised jam. Having a lot of fun with the recently finished modular drum machine!
Played a set for some friends this weekend.
It was a good test run., played for about 2 hours.
Here’s some selected pieces, the whole thing is too large to upload here.
Hey,
here’s 15 min from a live-set I did this weekend.
150 bpm swingy techno from a cabin in the deep Swedish woods.
2x104 hp modular is doing the heavy lifting + deluge for some percussion and fx.
Loquelic, BIA & Perkons as main voices.
Using them kind of like dj-decks, when I switch voice I also “switch” songs.
I recorded a total of 3,5 h, but unfortunately the recording is clipping in too many places.
Managed to salvage 15 mins at least.
Here’s a live performance from my office studio. Volca Drum, Volca Keys, CPM DS-2 being mixed by OTO Bebe Cherie. Hope you enjoy!
Finally descited to pull the trigger on Digitakt 2. Pairs very well with my Eurorack! First test-ride:
I don’t think it’s necessarily about “qualification” so much as feel?
The nice thing about form is, if you go with it, so it is.
More fun to hear what stretches the boundaries of techno than gatekeep!
