I second what @JamesM said, that sure looks like a crack on the the bass side but its an easy fix. It wouldn’t surprise me if the one on the treble side is a matching crack, just a less severe one. They’ll want to have a look inside to see what, if anything, goes all the way through, and to see if any bracing or block to top/ back joints have come loose but in the end they’ll probably just inject a little glue to stabilize it. No big deal.

Thanks for the reply @blurrghost ! It’ll be a week tomorrow and I’ve yet to hear anything. They had a ton of guitars there waiting for work so I’m not shocked. We shall see what they find.
It really sucks not having a guitar around! I’m super bummed!

UPS did a number on this poor guitar. Probably a 3” crack in the back. You can see creases on the case where it bent! Returning it to the seller today. Fortunately, they have insurance.

Really disappointing. I didn’t even tune it up!
This was a Weissenborn-style guitar built by a luthier in New Zealand. Very rare to see one in the U.S.
The irony is that I was getting this one so I wouldn’t risk my more delicate Weissenborn-style guitars at gigs. UPS had other thoughts about that. The fact that the case bent gives a clue about how much force was on the box. Eek.

Is this a L-00 ? Nearlly bought one earlier this year, fantastic guitar, but went out of the shop with a Martin Mahogany I dreamed of forever… . Can’t forget this L-00 though. May I ask why you bought a second/spare one ? I mean, I heard of quality issues, but why buying a second one of these rather special guitars ?

Tru-Oil Gunstock finish on the neck, really impressed with it after 3 coats, and I’ve sprayed a final coat on the body, now to wait a week (at least) for it to fully cure before level sanding and buffing.

Has anybody seen this new Harley Benton line? I’m typically pretty critical of relic guitars, but something about them being hyper-affordable makes it way more of a fun idea. That pink jazz is sweeeeeeet.

Dont see them much in the US but it seems the consensus is you get what you pay for. A step above Squire affinity/bullets but not as nice as a Classic Vibe. I really like that pink JM too

Line 6 just released a VST version of Helix Stadium.
Crazy expensive unless you own a real hardware or old Helix Native. Then it’s $99.
Also they offer a free limited version. I didn’t check what exactly is limited.

They are decent (overall) but often pretty heavy which is a shame.
I would personally skip the cheaper range and fake-aged ones and get the 300e+ lines that come with better pups and stainless steel frets, even floyd rose 1000s.

I got an email from line 6 about this, I think the free version is limited to 5 amps.
Part of me wants to try it but I’m worried that’ll make me start wishing I could upgrade my helix floor to the stadium

I will buy Stadium Floor anyway to replace my old Helix LT.
Honestly, not because of sound which I really like on Helix, but because of power – polyphonic pitch stuff and modern amp models are too hungry, flexibility – more than one split per line, and showcase – really cool thing for jamming.
So I’m safe.
I played just presets so far, so can’t compare Agora amps as a direct replacement in my presets, but presets feels (by hands) really good.
Also, the best feature is their commentaries and samples to each presets. Somehow all my guitars DI both through Helix or via my audio interface Hi-Z input are about 6dB quieter than those samples baked to presets even with very similar guitars.
Not sure what’s the reason. Perhaps my cable eats something. But with proper gain staging when I boost my DI it’s fine.

Anyone have experience with the Martin D10E acoustic? I’m looking to upgrade my POS Epiphone after nearly 20 years. I played a bunch of guitars in the shop, and I loved the buttery smooth action and mellow tone, but I had a buddy who said that he has one that developed all sorts of issues every time the seasons change.
And in the name of contributing pics to this thread, the tone selector on my Yamaha Pacifica died a while back. I bought a soldering iron, pulled its guts out, and went to work.
Afterwards, it made sound (success!) but I somehow wired it up backwards, so now up is bridge pickup and down is neck. Whoops
