I’ve always dreamed of having that many henchmen…
Fahrenheit made a thermometer (respect, I can’t make thermometers), but then just chopped it up and was like “here’s the scale”. I’m American, yet it drives me crazy that they (we?) use the imperial system of measurement and Fahrenheit for temperature.
The metric system is objectively the superior measurements system. It’s kind of beautiful, connected by powers of 10 and water… Take 10cm and multiply by 10: you get a meter. Make a 10x10x10 cm cube: you now have a liter. Take that liter and fill it with water: you now have a kilogram. Take that liter of water and freeze it: congratulations it’s 0° Celsius.
With the imperial system nothing makes sense. How many feet in a mile? How many ounces in a gallon? Oh, do you mean fluid ounces? What?? You used the word ounce for both mass and volume?? What??
A US gallon is also smaller than an imperial gallon by ~760ml, that threw me when I moved from the UK to the US.
How is 50⁰F NOT perfect?!
10⁰c is very cold! ~20-23⁰c is perfect!
I’m sorry, im an American. So I don’t measure the temperature by your wacko gobbledygook.
