If you right click on an offsite image and copy the photo link and then paste that over here you can get around the upload issue.

I will say one more time since nobody read it above, you can link offsite images by doing a right-click and “copy image link”, then post that, or from mobile if you open the image in a new tab then copy that URL from the standalone image tab’s URL bar, you should be able to post that to similar effect.
What you cannot do at this time is upload from your device, so you would need to upload to offsite photo hosting and upload the viewer link if you don’t know where you originally found the image or have a working link.
