wow these ads are disturbingly familiar. no wonder I wanted all those toys, the same people doing voiceovers on toy commercials were doing voices on other cartoons

We had a wood panel VHS. One of the earliest I imagine. This thing is a gem. We had it forever.

something about watching this feels unavoidably like taking drugs. I don’t really know any other way to describe it.

Mr Rogers: I don’t do drugs, I AM drugs!

(I might be misattributing that)

Mr. Rogers wore something like 3 different sweaters per episode. That’s dedication.

That show was pretty tripped out if you think about it. Had a little train in his house that went through the wall into a fucking magic puppet kingdom.

Even the train on silver spoons was just a status symbol of rich people, if you have a magic puppet kingdom on the other side of your wall it’s either a heavy delusion or a metaphor for drug use.

WorldStar, but it’s trippin’ out building model railroads through your house.

I miss the 70s and 80s so much but I’m sure they sucked if you were an adult. Unless you were a regular at Studio 54 maybe.

I have memories of some of the weirdest things, one time when I was really young we went to visit some relatives on the east coast and I watched this cartoon that I never forgot but the memory mutated and I had to make sure it was real because it seemed so strange - apparently it was real. Kidd Video.

They were in some spaceship and there were music videos and it was half animated, the theme song was so catchy how could I forget. So weird though. Again, to watch the youtube link feels like drugs to watch things like this.

There are some other ones like this that are these weird distant memories but when they become real it’s a collision of reality and wherever these memories live.
