I remember my first time listening to Kraftwerk 1 in high school and hearing that song and being immediately transported back to my childhood. It was astonishing.

Yep. Loved it as a kid in the 80s. Electric Company and Sesame Street from that era were amazing. I bought an Electric Company DVD years ago when people still bought DVDs.

I have all my dvd’s in a special box somewhere. I still have trouble with the idea of buying things and not having something in my hand to show for it, lol. I’d rather buy a cd than a download but I don’t even know if any of my cd players work anymore.

Those old sesame street episodes were pretty star packed also if you think about it.

While the show might suck if I went back and rewatched it, the Reading Rainbow song will forever be burned into my memory.

Also, shout out to Mr Rogers. This National Lampoon’s play on it with Bill Murray is one of my favorite comedy skits of all time. Sampled by the Beastie Boys as well.

Reading Rainbow for some reason reminds me of memories of staying home sick from elementary school and spending all day watching TV like that and Nickelodeon.

That also reminded me of this show, I had forgotten about

Saw this on YouTube just now. Those opening commercials will bring a lot of people back, although I don’t actually remember those specific toys. Parallel universe perhaps, Lol. I love that there is a ninja toy. Ninjas are a big part of that era.
