I had the Digitone setup to participate but thought it was next weekend.
It took all evening to upload this on my 4g phone , and half an afternoon updating my softpop.

some sample from old vital recordings I think through Granulator 2 and couple of supermassive instances, heavily compressed and on the lower part of the spectrum, I guess these types of things are my favorite to do when I’m just zoning with Live or synth…
the 128 kbps killing the vibe though, I guess only bandcamp allows higher res playback?

@alechko I’ve mostly stopped using Soundcloud for that reason, the basic streaming player on Bandcamp just sounds better. I have a more formal and curated Bandcamp alias where I upload my polished and completed ‘final product’ type things, and my experimental and esoteric alias where I can share things like in my first post. You can link different accounts together easily and monitor them all from one place, as well as your account as a listener. I recommend it.
I’ve now been through and listened to all the uploads except the live stream which I will put on this afternoon. Great stuff all around. I think we should turn this into a non-specific drone sharing thread. Thoughts? Who needs a specific day to drone?

I was playing this over Genelec 8040 monitors with a 7070a sub. Tuned the 0-coast as low as it will go and that 19hz happened to coincide with a massive acoustic room mode that made the whole volume of space pulse and shake. My god 🫠
I soon realized that both that ultra low frequency playback and that room mode are things I won’t likely get in live venues so now I’ve started tuning it to C1 instead.

I also did a Lyra-8 performance on Drone Day '24.
Audio chain was: Lyra-8 -> Octatrack (highpass filter LFO + panning LFO) -> Eventide Blackhole -> SP404 (compression and audio interface). It starts off “melodic” and descends into typical Lyra-8 madness (which I love). The Lyra-8 tuning, which was stolen from somebody else, was A A E A C# E B C#. Not that it matters much once the feedback gets going
