Good ol’ Peter with the blunt answers lol I love it
Ah, that is very useful to know, thank you!
This is a good idea
That’s why it’s on this Thread, Duh!
Hey, was just thinking it’d be awesome if there were a Step Jump mode like there is on the Volca Sample — it’s such a fun tool for performance! It’s really the only thing I miss on the Digitakt.
The master length value can be calculated by taking the Least Common Multiple (LCM) of all track lengths used. Sample LCM calculator: Least Common Multiple Calculator
For example for track lengths 16 and 7 the LCM is 112, for 16 and 12 it’s 48.
Of course this works for values up to the maximum master length of 1024, beyond that using INF is the only option.
Add different modulation varieties to the chromatic keyboard (perhaps cycling through with FUNC + another keycombo or simply FUNC + TRACK)
Specifically, setting the buttons to be 16 steps of Velocity sensitivity for easier groove making.
edit: pads to buttons
I’d love to see a “page through mode”, that allows me to add trigs to all pattern pages at the same time.
As an example I could imagine holding [PAGE], and pressing trigs, which would then add / remove trigs on all pages, not just the current one.
Would be very convenient to quickly edit regular patterns on sequences longer than 16 steps (I know, I’m a bit four-to-the-floor biased…)
Maybe you’ve noticed this already, but I’m posting anyways; if you extend the page length from standard 16 to 32, 48, 64 then the current sequence gets duplicated from the source page to the new ones.
Sometimes it does get copied, sometimes not, not quite sure of this feature myself haha.
the func+parameter snap-to-value thing but also available when setting parameter locks. if you r holding down a trig the values don’t snap anymore with func key
+1 STEP JUMP! that’s a really powerful playability feature
I think it works if the other pages are blank. If you go from 64 to 16 and leave trigs on pages 2-4 then it remembers them and won’t copy through.
Yeah, I’m making use of this… I’m just a little too slow when doing it live
I’d like to have the retirg function on Midi tracks
hitting LFO twice is basically just as fast as long-pressing it though, no?
Oh man a request from 2017 - please add this! FUNC-CHROMATIC to change from chromatic mode to velocity! I need 16 levels!
I’m still hoping for scale mode in addition to chromatic. It would give access to more notes without having to change octaves and easier to play melodies too, like how it is on the Digitone.
Ability to save midi tracks as “instruments” (cc mapping and lfo configuration (maybe channel too)) to be loaded to midi tracks on the fly. Also labeling cc params (maybe just within software) to be stored with midi “instruments” would be nice. So you could load an instrument to a midi tack, like you load a sound to an audio track. cc labels could have a 3 character abbreviation.
I’d love to be able play a sample live (with a keyboard) while letting the parameters go thru the recorded parameter locks of the playing pattern.
for now, only recorded trigs get parameter automation…
the played lines could be much richer this way …
more aggressive overdrive value ranges, and/or bigger pre-amp level range on the SRC level. just give me 12db extra pls.
