Compressor is amazing! Makes it feel totally unique from their other gear.

Been thinking about this for awhile:

  1. Input track routing similar to the the A4/AK (and AR through sidechain in OB). This could be implemented using an additional submenu on the SRC button to assign the track audio source to an input, given the hardware is capable and the necessary DSP is available. Other people have different preferences, but I would gladly give up a sampling engine or two for processing external audio more precisely.

  2. On what is currently the ā€œmixerā€ page (func + LFO), an assignable parameter page could be implemented by pressing function, holding down and turning the knob to choose the parameter. It would expand the capability of controlling the volume on each track to creating a performance-oriented submenu. This seems like it could be implemented almost exclusively through software, so hopefully we see something similar in the long run.

  3. More sound design options are always awesome, but specifically a notch filter for getting rid of the boxiness on kick drums/ear fatigue on the snare without killing the sound. This saves a lot of time in post-production, even without OB.

Bank Chain?

Itā€™s really nice that you can chain patterns together from various banks. Itā€™s super easy and quick if your patterns are all organized in the desired order already too (letā€™s say A1 to D16). But, would be even easier to just hold down the bank button, then press the desired bank buttons (A-H/9-16) in the same way that you chain patterns, but this way you get A1-D16 in secondsā€¦

I donā€™t count anymore how many times I wish I could play with two parameters of two different tracks at the same time. This would add so much possibilities in terms of performance. Right now the only way around is to use an external midi controller. :control_knobs:

Canā€™t stress how nice to have these:

-Delete unused samples

-Warning before deleting or moving used sample

-Message before loading sample into a full ram and dialogue to free some space

  • Better integration with midi controllers - sending feedback data to sort CC value jumps from pattern to pattern :tada:

  • Better backup model - project/pattern data + the samples assigned to the project etc :paw_prints:

  • Live audio input thru - add a synth / external source to your setup - no need for a standalone mixer.

  • Routing audio input into the compressor.

  • Band Pass Filter would be very welcome ofc.

  • btw - when I see this - eqq - I think TILT EQ :sunny:

If having one on every channel seems too much, Iā€™d love at least one instance on the master page :boom: (switchable pre/post compressor) :butterfly:

But you canā€™t have one midi channel sending midi cc on two different midi channels, so you still canā€™t change parameters of two different tracks from the same pageā€¦

It would be sooo nice if we could microstep-shift every step to step 1 for the conditional trigs ā€¦imagine what you could do with conditional trigs and only one page.

This is probably already in there but it would be nice to:

  • be able to activate control all so that you donā€™t have to hold the button

Hereā€™s my list:

Must have

  • second lfo - looks like simple touch to me and expand sound design possibilities greatly
  • fades for looped samples, snap to zero crossing to avoid clicks - itā€™s hard to get short cycle free of clicks/pops etc. (requires some tinkering to find the right spot in the sample)
  • scale per track

Not essential but useful and very welcome

  • resampling exact loops + slicing (by transient/time resolution - like in Ableton Simpler) - then automatic assignment of slices to tracks in a selected target pattern
  • automatic unloading not used samples from project
  • randomize pattern
  • randomize samples assigned to tracks
  • more filter types - bp, notch, comb
  • solo track
  • auto trim silence from sample on the edges
  • manual edit of existing samples
  • master saturation would be nice

Luxury stuff

  • sample timestretch
  • distortion effect per track - kind of morphing distortion (changing its character depending on knob position) would be really cool
  • waveshaper on source page or some kind of wave warp (like in wavetable synths)

track step length conditional trig. / end of track length trig.

e.g
the default of the track is 16 steps.
on step 6 i put a conditional trig that is effectively telling the sequencer its the last step based on percentage etc.
i donā€™t really care about fine fidelity of the trig , would be happy with 25%,50,75 , or the usual range of 1:2 , 2:2 etc.

but would be a great way to do polyrthyms.
