This still sounds incredible and more organic than much heard from much more modern synths and experience.
She’s also a wonderful composer outside of electronics. When synths stopped being cool for a half decade or so she recorded a set of gorgeous piano albums I listen to a lot.
Would love to see how people recreate this and how hard it is!
Suzanne Ciani is amazing but “first electronic sonic logo” as he says at the end of the video isn’t even remotely accurate. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GU5F80SEPx0
Are you suggesting that an Instagram story was full of hyperbole and half-truths?

Sorry, I was responding to dragonaut’s Raymond Scott post. No static; just noting that even the most well-intentioned stuff on Meta isn’t necessarily trustworthy when it comes to basic facts.
Still, I think this is a fascinating bit of trivia and a fun challenge. I’d never heard of Ciani before this morning, and always assumed that the Coke sound mark was a live recording.
(Though I will not be participating in the challenge because this form of synthesis is like elder magic to me and completely beyond my comprehension.)
