Testing Bitwig 6 Beta 12. I did not know saving projects/Templates is not possible ? Lesson learned.
??? I’m using Bitwig 6 Beta 12 and saving projects is possible, just like in any previous beta version.
What error do you get?

I have only been using Bitwig 6 beta and I could create and save a template so don’t seem to have this issue. Is it only an issue for you in beta 12 specifically?

Sorry, I did not want to generalize, just a bit frustrated.
It was not possible to save a project in BW6 beta 12. When i clicked on ‘save as’ or ‘save’ nothing happened. Now, when I open the beta again, I can save everything.

New Bitwig user here, in trial mode. Very impressed, but just curious why my SSL12 1/2 aren’t picked up at all by the software. Everything is fine in SSL360 and 3/4 work great. Really strange behavior, and I spent an hour monitoring strange garbled sounds. Will try again today. No issues in Ableton…
Alright. So I do have a theory for this looong beta phase. Either bitwig is having some internal problems OR they are waiting to release version 6 together with another piece of hardware

They also get yelled at if they don’t do updates at all.
They must do it often, have open Betas, make them stable and bug free immediately and include everything everybody wants.
Upgrades must be free of course.
Thank God I’m no SW developer.

Bitwig’s betas are genuine betas. They crash and do weird things. I wouldn’t work with them beyond having a play around to explore new features. There’s a reason they give all those warnings!

Bitwig Beta 13 just went out. 
Just to understand better your problem (that I would be surprised if it has to do with Bitwig):
- Which OS?
- In Settings > Audio, what do you have in “Selected Device(s)”?
- In Settings > Audio, what do you see in “Inputs”?
- In Settings > Audio > Named Audio Busses, if you click "+ " in Inputs, what do you see?

I’ve not had any crashes since Beta 4.
For the current Beta 12 it seems very solid.
Same for me as well, around that time. Not only that, it’s been many releases that I don’t even understand the release notes (and I used to understand most of them). Meaning, most of the improvements/fixes refer to features and details that a regular but basic user like me probably doesn’t hit.

MacOS.
I am not sure where the problem lies, but when Bitwig utilizes the Voice Isolation feature (on the native MacOS mic option) it causes the problem.
Switching to Standard allows normal ½ operation.
I stumbled on an SSL Big 6 mixer user with same issue so maybe it’s how SSL works on MacOS?
