I guess the title of this thread is very much in line with traditional hiphop naming culture, although it would’ve been cool if we had artists called ‘Small L’ or ‘Medium Pun’

Here’s something from a project that I need to get back to working on. It’s a remix of Burgundy Whip by MED, Blu, and Madlib. I reworked the original melody and gave it more of like an 80s vibe. Let me know what you think.

@Jord.Lim this has a very relaxed vibe. Maybe add some variations off the vocal sample? I could imagine some old movie dialogue playing over this

I’m planning to build a vocal sample bank with dialogues, speeches, and stuff like that, just to have them ready to go. I usually feel too lazy to go hunting for samples while I’m in the middle of composing. I really need to do a massive sampling session for a few days.
